Today was ANZAC Day. It is the day that Australia and New Zealand remember the Gallipoli campaign of the First World War that the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (the ANZACs) fought. Actually, it is a much bigger deal for Australians than Remembrance Day is.
We went to the National War Museum to witness the ceremonies.
Instead of poppies they hand out sprigs of rosemary.
For some reason there was a alpaca at the ceremonies. We weren't the only ones to find this funny as the police men below took their pictures with "buttercup".
The alpaca ate Sebastian's rosemary right out of his pocket.
The domed building is the war museum.
This Salvation Army truck was giving away ANZAC biscuits (delicious coconut cookies) and coffee. I liked that it said "Sally Man" instead of "Sally Ann".
Look at that red! We just don't get these colours in Regina.
