Travelling back in time - Two May 18th days.

Well this was an excursion surely to be remembered.  It is hard to believe that we are on the final leg of our nine month sabbatical.

The flight from Sydney to Hawaii was just shy of ten hours.  It departed around 9:30 at night, many hours past the boys regular bed time.  Sleeping on the plane was near impossible for the boys.  Sebastian did get a few hours with the aid of earplugs and an eye mask.  Nathaniel had a few hours of tossing and turning on me, so not adequate.

We landed in Honolulu and had to wait about three hours for the connection flight to Maui.  We met a nice family with a three year old boy, so naturally they acted like boys and played most of the time.
The flight to Maui was a mere twenty minutes and yes this is when Nathaniel decided to sleep. We rented a car and then drove about 45 minutes to where we are staying here in Napili.
Here are some pictures from both May 18th days, us leaving Australia (driving up to the airport in Sydney) and landing in Honolulu.

Good-bye Canberra! And to driving on the right side.

The world's largest sheep.  Naturally at a Merino wool outlet store.
The old town of Goulburn established as the first inland cities.

Every wombat sign we found had some sort of sticker on it.
 My tired princes.

Alas, sleep.  The drive was about 45 minutes and he caught another quick twenty minutes or so.
