Pumpkins and Pirates

I have a friend who says that her and I do more by 8am then many people do all day.
Well if she means carving a pumkin (notice Nathaniel eating breakfast) and making two pirate ships out of diaper boxes all before noon, then I guess she is right.
But isn't this normal for us moms?
A very hard pumpkin to carve.  Its shell was so thick I really had to put my back into it.
Scrapping out the insides wasn't that easy either.
'Fairy' Nathaniel taunting Cadmus.  It lasted about two seconds before Cadmus ran for his life.  This 'fairy' was a bit persistent with the stick, or I mean wand.
Drawing on the face.  Nathaniel likes to say "yellow" so that is his favourite pen to use right now.

Sebastian trying to cut out his design of four eyes, one nose and a huge mouth.
All with a butter knife-It didn't work.

 Completed green pumpkin.
 The pirate garb:
One diaper box as his ship.
One Ikea rat stuffed animal.
One egg carton full of treasure, as in the treasure chest.
One paper towel roll for his monocular.
One wallet with Australian paper money in it to buy rum (so he claimed).
One cup with "rum" in it.
One necklace with treasure on it.  That being his crayola.  He made me one with a shell.
One eye patch (from our first aid kit) held up with twine.
And one flag taped on a stick.

Nathaniel had to get involved too.  He has his rat as well, but is sitting on him.
Luckily I had two egg cartons in the recycle bin. The young apprentice went outside the front yard and filled it up with his treasure, rocks.
