A birthday party and then a visit to the Australian War Museum.

Almost daily one of his teddies has a birthday.  Today was Didley's 10th Birthday.  He is the blue dog that Sebastian is holding.  Remarkably Didley can blow out candles.  It was cool enough early in the morning to bake.

The Australian War Museum from outside.

A picnic lunch before entering above and below is the Anzac parade that leads to the Parliament buildings.
The boys really liked the planes.  I really liked the air conditioning.

Private John Simpson Kirkpatrick, a stretcher bearer used donkeys to bring wounded men to the beach.
Simpson, 'the man with the donkey', has become one of the most famous figures in Australian history.
The reflecting pond and the names of all of those lost to all the wars Australia has participated in.
These are fabric poppies put by the names of loved ones.
